Emotion and expression are closely related, maybe we can sum them both up as feeling or felt. It seems to me that the further away these two are usually results in mental disorders of various kinds, this can explain the stony ghost face serial killers have, which also confirms the emotionaless nature of the act, but only emotionaless in the expression context, where the entire emotion of the person has been driven internally, where stress accumulates and awaits a sudden outburst projected towards a specific something which is relative to what concentrated the emotion in the first place, although it can take directions that have nothing to do with what actually drove the emotion in, this is because the concentration level of emotion distorts rational perception, the outburst is relative to the concentration, the emotion becomes out of control, the thinking becomes out of control and then the act is out of control.
Therapy can be seen as regulating these emotions, easing the flow of them into a managed stream, settling them through the thinking process, or putting things into perspective..a soothing by the sound and visual presence of somebody else with the focus on the burning emotion. Sometimes speaking just isn't enough, they have to use pictures or play with clay in order to trigger deep emotional disturbances so they can be brought into the conscious mind where they can be addressed.
If the disturbances are too deep and inaccessible then the person drifts away into their own mind and becomes lost.. lost being the disturbances being expressed as confusion and detachment, the being relives the events over and over in their mind, often trying to make sense of them or trying to find a way to place themselves into a superior position in those events as a way of not being bothered by those thoughts anymore, the same thought occurs over and over because it was connected to an event which took place in reality where they were affected negatively, regardless of how much positive spin the person puts on it won't actually solve the problem.
This is all rooted in a lack of acceptance of reality, the acceptance of your own vulnerability, the possibility of being hurt. Nature tells the truth, nature holds those closely who tell nature the truth of itself. This is the closest you will ever come to protection because with such position you will already know what to do. I would say this is where the core of true resilience exist.
Questions
Why does a negative event trigger an internalization of emotion which begins to detach from synced expression?
Is this where mind meets reality personally? A confrontation that does not feel good, especially according to this hedonistic time of pleasure..
Are people more likely to be hurt in such a time? More vulnerable..an enemy of nature..an abandonment of the source...we can see how nilhilism comes into it at this point.. as unhurtable pleasure is exclusively sought is in proportion to turning away from reality.
A great deception here is to say this pleasure is good and all else is bad, despite the fact that all else can be good, if not more good and nescessary to even keeping the idea of good alive.
So pleasure is placed on a pedestal as the result to be sought.
Hedonistic lifestyle is placed on a pedestal as the way of engagement, the act of consumption.
Happiness is the emotion placed on a pedestal as the overall wellbeing which translates the goodness of such above behavior. Feeling good is the expressed verbal form of it ..and we should talk about feeling good, because that's also used in many ways too, with the active denial of all other emotions, or more so, trivialization.
