I have attempted this piece many years ago but was never successful, it sounds simple through most of the piece but is more difficult than it sounds. Chopin is like that as well. I have read that Liszt had larger than usual hands and would write music that only someone with a larger reach could play correctly. I bit of Job Security for a performer.

A woman I've been talking to, who is a piano instructor, said the same thing - that it's, actually, rather difficult to perform.

I've been told that I have perfect fingers for playing the Piano, so I may take advantage of that; I'm interested in learning.

Find a teacher that will accommodate your preferences, having a teacher from the beginning will help by not having to un-learn bad habits later.

My own fingers are just a bit too fat, when I play one of the white keys toward the back where it is between 2 black keys, I sometimes tend to get stuck. That and having been away from a piano for about 45 years makes it frustrating to pick up a piece of music that I played before, but now can't play. My own preference was for classical music and the 2 pieces I picked back up rather quickly were Fur Elise and the 1st movement of Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven. The 3rd movement is not so difficult musically, just very fast, and that is where I fail.

Put that into music.   Don't wait till you feel like it, just do it.

BTW, Interesting avatar, is that you?

I absolutely love this song...it's hauntingly beautiful to me. The words resonate to my emotional landscape...they paint a rich image of my sometimes spirit.

A-oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

I discovered the song after having read Anne Rice's The Wolves of Midwinter and before that The Wolf Gift both beautiful novels I think.

One might be surprised at the wisdom, the wonderful philosophical and psychological insights that might be gleaned through books such as these which others might just shrug off.

This song is so beautiful it almost brings tears to my eyes. So much better in Italian too. The English words are too gushy, too lovey-dovey.

It just boils my half Italian blood. lol
